The Garden Route – road tripping

The Itinerary

DAY ONE: Enjoy a 5 hour drive through some of South Africa’s most spectacular mountain passes that weave their way from Cape Town to the Karoo town of Oudtshoorn and the Hlangana Lodge. Be amazed by the natural wonder that is the Cango Caves, before enjoying a well deserved 3-course meal.

DAY TWO: Make the two hour journey from Oudtshoorn to Knysna, considered by most as the heart of the Garden Route. Enjoy a quirky guided tour of this quaint town set in beautiful scenery on a Segway. Before watching the sun go down behind the Heads, while enjoying dinner on board the floating John Benn restaurant.

DAY THREE: Explore Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma by car and on foot. Then take to the sky on a canopy tour through the incredible indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma, before heading back to Knysna.

DAY FOUR: Steal a morning to go whale watching in Knysna, before driving to George Airport where you can fit back in to you Cape Town / Kruger package.
